What is AuthorPass Free?

A free place in AuthorPass for one published book. We set up three free listings for you, a check-up of your Amazon page once a year and a ready-to-post social pack every three months, all by email.

Do I have to set up the three listings myself?

No. We do the setting up, and each listing is yours, in a free account under your email address.

• HostingAuthors: we build your book page from your Amazon page, with the cover, description and buy link, and your welcome email links to it. HostingAuthors emails you separately in case you ever want to sign in and change it.
• BookGist: BookGist writes its summary from the book itself, so this is the one thing we ask for. Send the PDF, EPUB or Word file once, from the link in your welcome email or on the page you see after you confirm. We pass it to BookGist, and BookGist emails you when the summary is up. The file must not be copy-protected (DRM), and is used only to write the summary.
• AIHosts.fm: an interview needs your voice, so we set it up and you click once. The link in your welcome email makes your free account, books the show and briefs the AI host on your book. You record it from your browser whenever you are ready, in about twenty minutes, and the episode is yours to share.

When does the check-up come, and what do I do with it?

The first comes in your welcome email, and then once a year. It names the two or three changes most likely to help your book sell, with the finished wording. Use any of it whenever suits you, or none of it. For a book you publish through Amazon KDP, the email names the KDP screen where each change goes.

When does the social pack come?

About a month after you join, then every three months. Each pack has five posts with pictures and captions for X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, on a private page where you can copy each caption or download everything at once.

The check-up or social pack got something wrong about my book.

Everything is written from your book's Amazon page as it reads on the day. If the page itself is out of date, updating it there means the next check-up and pack will follow it. Treat anything we send as a draft: post or paste only what you are happy with.

Can I add a second book, or change my book?

AuthorPass Free covers one book per author. To change the book, leave AuthorPass Free with the link at the foot of any of our emails and sign up again with the other book. To include more books, see AuthorPass.

My book was not accepted.

We accept a book that is already published and on sale on Amazon, with your name, as it appears on the book, on its Amazon page. Pen names are fine: sign up with the pen name. A book still being written can join once it is on sale.

What does AuthorPass add?

AuthorPass Single is $49 a month plus $99 for the book. It does the check-up every month and makes the changes for books we publish, sends a social pack every month, and does the launch work: a book trailer, a press release, a review campaign and an award entry. See AuthorPass.

How do I stop the emails?

Every AuthorPass Free email has a "Leave AuthorPass Free" link at the foot. One click and a confirm button, and the emails stop. Your listings stay yours.
